The Coghlan's major campaigns were:

1. Aleutions Operations, Komandorski Is battle 26 March 1943, and Attu occupation 11 May to June 2 1943.

2. Pacific Raids, Tarawa 18 Sept 1943 and Wake Is raid, 5-6 Oct 1943.

3. Gilbert Is Operations, 21 Nov 1943 to 8 Dec 1943.

4. Marshall Is Operations, Occupation of Kwajalien and Majuro, 31 Jan to 8 Feb 1944, and Eniwetok 24 Feb to 2 March 1944.

5. Marianas Operations, Capture and occupation of Saipan 15 June to 7 Aug 1944 and Tinian 24 July to 1 Aug 1944.

6. Leyte Operations 8 to 29 Nov 1944 and Ormoc bay landings, 12-13 Dec 1944.

7. Luzon Operations, Lingayen Gulf landings 4-18 Jan 1945.

Also, Coghlan was credited with sinking one Akagane Maru in the Aleutions, and sinking one merchantman or possible destroyer in the Ormoc bay landings.

Coghlan shot down one Jap airplane at Ormoc, with one assist, and one final aircraft at Lingayen Gulf.
